It's not everyday you get to photograph an ex world surf champion with a $50 octopus on his head. I had a $10 bet with my editor that he would not do it and I lost. Kodak 400 TMax darkroom print number 3 filter.

Surry Hills, Sydney

Kodak 400 TMax. Everywhere you turn in Surry Hills there is a lane way crying out to be photographed. Day or night they never fail to catch my eye. 2 1/2 filter.

New York Stories

I think this was taken back in 2001, on a trip to New York with Tom. We went to see Ben Kweller play at CBGB's. I wish I'd paid more attention because you'd be looking at a great shot of inside CBGB's instead of this old fella crossing a New York street.

Bowler Hat

Kodak 400. Borrowed a bowler hat from work for something different. Dark room print 2 1/2 filter.

Ann-Marie

Kodak TMax 400. In the darkroom with a number 4 filter plus a lot of dodging and burning.

Pop Socks

Kodak 400 TMax. Dark room print so picked up a little dust when scanned in. Whilst pop socks aren't ordinarily beautiful things, I like the contrast of the black on white.
